Salem, the capital city of Oregon and its second largest city,
lies in the center of the lush Willamette River valley, 47 miles from
Portland. Salem is a city of over 47 square miles, located an hour
from the Cascade mountains to the east and an hour from the ocean
beaches to the west.

Intensive
Outpatient
Action Family Counseling’s Intensive Outpatient Program is
designed to serve adult and adolescent male and females with
substance abuse, co-occurring diagnoses and mental health related
problems. The program is aimed at those who are in need of intensive
outpatient services to maintain abstinence from chemical dependency
and to achieve stabilization from their mental health problems.
Partial Program
Action Family Counseling’s Partial Program, full day (6-8) and
half day (4-6) is designed to serve adult and adolescent male and
females with substance abuse, co-occurring diagnoses and mental
health related problems. The program is aimed at those who are in
need of partial services to maintain abstinence from chemical
dependency and to achieve stabilization from their mental illness.
The program operates at minimum 4-8 hours a day, six days a week at
various locations. The partial program curriculum includes 4 hours of
schooling, relapse prevention, cognitive restructuring, goal setting/
focus groups, individual and family therapy and multifamily group
therapy.
