RESIDENTIAL SERVICES
Action's Adult Residential House is located on a 4 acre ranch in the picturesque valley of Santa Clarita 35 miles north of Los Angeles. Santa Clarita is known for its unique blend of rural, old west heritage and urban sophistication, this fast-growing city has established an enviable balance between high-quality living and growth. The Adult residential unit is nestled in the beautiful rural community of Bouquet Canyon. Enjoy many peaceful views of rolling hills, streams, waterfalls, open fields and rural winding roads. These tranquil surroundings make an ideal spot for recovery.
Our residential program is designed to provide residential treatment services to male and females with drug, or alcohol related problems. Residents participate in weekly individual family sessions, as well as multi-family therapy groups. The family and patient education process is designed to promote open and honest communication and includes both family and patient participation.
Residents also participate in daily recovery groups focusing on relapse prevention, identifying behavioral triggers, and the 12 steps. Additionally residents participate in psychotherapy groups and individual counseling which focuses on the areas of insight, feelings, assertiveness training, decision making skills, communication, self-esteem enhancement and future goal development
INTENSIVE OUT PATIENT TREATMENT
Our IOP program is designed to serve adult male and females with substance abuse, and mental health related problems. The program is designed for those who are in need of intensive outpatient services in order to obtain and maintain abstinence from chemical dependency and/or to achieve mental health stabilization. The program operates at minimum 3 hours a day, 3 days a week at various locations throughout the Ventura and Los Angeles County areas.
ADMISSION
We provide a thorough intake and assessment process to ensure patients are placed in the proper level of care. Our help line is overseen by experienced crisis intervention counselors that will assist patients and their families through the process of admission. Our intake counselors will determine insurance and benefit coverage, answer any questions or concerns you may have and provide the assistance needed to embark on a new beginning.

We incorporate the 12 step model in all our practices and believe such changes are crucial in a successful transition back to a healthy lifestyle. Action strongly emphasizes family involvement to create a support network both during and after treatment.
