The Farm is located in the rural setting of Santa Paula surrounding by acres of farm land. Founded in 1875, the City of Santa Paula is nestled among miles of lemon, orange, and avocado orchards in the Santa Clarita River Valley. Only 12 miles away from the City of Ventura, county seat of Ventura County, and the Pacific Ocean coast line, Santa Paula is strategically connected by land, air, and sea to major consumer and industrial markets.
Action Family Counseling’s Residential program is designed to provide treatment services to adolescent male and females with drug, alcohol and mental health related problems. The program is aimed at those who are in need of residential setting in order to maintain abstinence from chemical dependency and achieve mental health stabilization, and also to assist with re-integrating them with society and family. The program operates seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.
Treatment Services Provided
The residential treatment program is
a short term program that emphasizes complete
abstinence from all controlled substances. The
average stay is from 30-60 days.
Residents participate in weekly individual
family sessions, as well as multi-family therapy
groups. The family education process is designed
to promote open and honest communication and
includes both parent and sibling participation.
Residents also participate in daily recovery
groups focusing on relapse prevention, identifying
behavioral triggers, and 12 step study groups.
Furthermore all residents participate in daily
psychotherapy groups and individual counseling
which focuses in the areas of insight and expression
of feelings, assertiveness training, decision
making skill, communication, self-esteem enhancement
and future goal development
To the West via the 101 Fwy, Santa Barbara is only 40 miles away; and to the South via Fwy 101 or Fwy 5, is LAX and the Los Angeles basin (70 miles) and Orange County (95 miles). The easy access provided by Hwy 126 to major California freeway systems makes it possible for Santa Paula business establishments to do business conveniently with any part of California or beyond.
