When I called and spoke to Cary the first time I knew he would help us.

He was reassuring and kind hearted. I felt desperate and he shared my concerns about my daughter. He knew exactly what I was talking about with little explanation. At the time we spoke the IOP program was full to overflowing with kids in need of help. Regardless, he made sure my daughter was put in one of the exsisting groups immediately.

He spoke to my husband and I individually and also to my daughter the first night we went to Action. I noticed his pager and phone were going off constantly and he was overwhelmed with parents seeking his advice and guidance during their times of crisis.

The difference he makes in addressing the concerns, education and emotional needs of addicts and their families is amazing. Cary is a man who gives and gives of himself to better our lives, and that of our community.

Sincerely,

Parents of Action/IOP

"If it wasn't for the ACTION Parent & Teen Support Group, I would probably be dead. I was a chronic runaway, heavy drug user and involved in gangs. Now I'm using my experiences to help other teens. ACTION saved my life."

Cary is receiving his third consecutive Lifetime Achievement Award as a business partner.

His nomination reads:
"I can't tell you how important it is for us to have a great relationship with Cary Quashen and his ACTION team. We are pleased to offer him space on our campus to hold his weekly meetings. In return, he is always quick to work with our kids who are facing dire circumstances because of drugs, dependencies, lack of motiviation and severe depression. What a great asset and fantastic partner for Saugus High School and the Hart district!"
